Best Air Purifier In Singapore 2026

Every haze season, the same question comes up: which air purifier is actually worth buying? This year it came early. On 9 October 2026, the 24-hour PSI in central Singapore hit 181, firmly in the “unhealthy” band.

The short answer is to buy one that’s sized for your room, quiet enough to sleep with, and cheap to keep running. Most people get the first part wrong. A purifier that’s too small for the room will hum away all day and barely move the needle.

Below are 5 air purifiers you can buy in Singapore right now, from a S$69 desk unit to a 500 m³/h tower for the living room. We compared what the makers publish, checked local prices and warranties, and pulled in independent test data where it exists.

How We Picked

We looked at air purifiers sold in Singapore and compared five things: CADR (how much clean air it pushes out), filter grade, noise, filter running cost and price. We didn’t lab-test these ourselves. When an independent tester has measured a model, we say so and use those numbers. Prices are from 11–13 October 2026 and move a lot during haze season, so tap through for today’s price.

What to Look for in an Air Purifier in Singapore

  • CADR (clean air delivery rate). This is the number that matters most. It tells you how many cubic metres of clean air the purifier delivers per hour (m³/h). Our rule of thumb: take your room’s floor area in m² and multiply by 12. A 12 m² bedroom needs about 145 m³/h, and a 30 m² living room needs about 360 m³/h. (That assumes a 2.5 m ceiling and about 5 air changes an hour.)
  • Filter grade. Look for True HEPA or H13. Both trap at least 99.95–99.97% of the particles that are hardest to catch, which covers the PM2.5 in haze. An activated carbon layer takes the edge off smells, but don’t expect it to clear frying smells from a whole kitchen.
  • Noise. For a bedroom, read the lowest-speed figure. Makers measure in quiet labs, so expect a bit more in a real room.
  • Running cost. Over two or three years, filters cost more than most people expect. An S$80 filter swapped every 6 months is S$160 a year; if it lasts 12 months, it’s S$80. Electricity is neligible. Per SP Group’s Oct–Dec 2026 tariff of 31.16 cents/kWh (incl. GST), a 40 W purifier on full blast 24/7 costs about S$9 a month.
  • Local warranty. One to two years is the norm. Buy the Singapore set from a seller that honours the local warranty, and keep the receipt.
  • Plug and power. Singapore runs on 230 V with 3-pin plugs. A grey import may need an adapter and usually won’t come with a local warranty.

  • Price: S$258–S$379, depending on seller

Pros

  • High CADR for the price: 500 m³/h from about S$258, and an independent test came close to that claim at top speed
  • Quiet at low speeds: about 35 dBA in sleep mode (measured)
  • Cheap to run: 4.4 W in sleep mode, and one filter lasts 6–12 months
  • Smart extras: PM2.5/PM10 sensor, OLED display, app and voice control

Cons

  • Only a 1-year warranty, while both Levoit models give 2 years
  • Built-in ionizer that can only be turned off through the app (HouseFresh)
  • High-pitched whine at low speeds, reported by HouseFresh
  • Prices vary a lot during promotional and non-promotional period

If you are only buying one purifier for the living room, make it this one. The Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro is rated at up to 500 m³/h CADR (China’s GB/T 18801 test), the highest on our list by a wide margin. Xiaomi says it suits 35–60 m²; by our rule of thumb it’s about 42 m². HouseFresh, an independent testing site, measured about 485 m³/h at top speed, so the claim holds up, and roughly 300 m³/h while staying under 45 dBA.

Day to day, it’s a pleasant machine to own. The OLED touch display shows live readings from a PM2.5/PM10 laser sensor, and you can run it from the Xiaomi Home app or with Alexa and Google Assistant. Night mode is rated at 33.7 dB(A). HouseFresh measured about 35 dBA in sleep mode and 59 dBA flat out, both from 3 feet. A filter lasts 6 to 12 months.

However, the warranty is just 1 year, and the price swings a lot during promotional and non-promotional period. We observe S$258 at one shop and S$379 at another. HouseFresh also flagged a high-pitched whine at low speeds and a built-in ionizer that you can only switch off in the app.

Levoit Core 300S — Best for Bedrooms

Levoit Core 300S

Specifications

  • CADR: 240 m³/h (141 CFM)
  • Room size: 20 m² at 4.8 air changes an hour (Levoit)
  • Noise: 22–50 dB
  • Filter: 3 stages (pre-filter, a filter listed as “True HEPA” in Singapore, activated carbon); replace every 6–8 months
  • Smart features: App and voice control
  • Power: 23 W
  • Size and weight: 22 × 22 × 36 cm, 2.7 kg
  • Warranty: 2 years (limited)
  • Price: S$199–S$219

Pros

  • Right-sized for bedrooms (about 20 m²)
  • Very quiet sleep mode: 22 dB (Levoit figure)
  • Small and light: 2.7 kg
  • Low power use: 23 W, and a 2-year warranty

Cons

  • Too small for most living rooms (240 m³/h)
  • Filter every 6–8 months adds up over time
  • Maker claims only: the noise figures are Levoit’s own lab ratings

For a bedroom, the Levoit Core 300S hits the sweet spot. It’s rated at 240 m³/h CADR (141 CFM), which Levoit says handles a 20 m² room at 4.8 air changes an hour. At 22 cm wide and 2.7 kg, it tucks into a corner or onto a bedside table without fuss.

Sleep mode is rated at just 22 dB, the lowest figure on this list, and it draws only 23 W. You get a smart app with voice control and a 2-year warranty. Singapore listings call its filter True HEPA, with activated carbon. It’s worth knowing that Levoit dropped that wording for this model in the US in 2023, after Dyson challenged it.

Keep it out of the living room, though. 240 m³/h is too little for a big space, the filter needs to be changed every 6 to 8 months.

LG PuriCare AeroMini — Best Compact Smart Pick

LG PuriCare AeroMini

  • Noise: 26 dB in sleep mode to 48 dB on high (LG)
  • Filter: One Aero Series H filter, H13 grade; about 1 year at 10 hours a day, with filter-life tracking and a replacement alarm

Pros

  • Strong airflow for its size: 210 m³/h CADR (LG), about 18 m² at 5 air changes an hour
  • PM1.0 sensor and LG ThinQ app in a 2.8 kg unit
  • Quiet in sleep mode: 26 dB (LG figure)
  • H13 filter that lasts about a year at 10 hours a day

Cons

  • Price and warranty not shown on LG Singapore’s site when we checked
  • Sold online only in Singapore, with only a stock alert showing on LG’s page
  • LG-only filter, with no published price
  • Maker figures only: no independent test found

The LG PuriCare AeroMini is LG’s purifier for small homes, and it punches above its size. LG rates it at 210 m³/h CADR (3.5 m³/min) for rooms up to 27 m². By our rule of thumb that’s about 18 m², so think bedroom or study. It went on sale in Singapore in April 2026, online only through LG’s own store, and runs on a single Aero Series H filter graded H13.

What you’re paying for is the smarts. A PM1.0 dust sensor feeds a four-colour air-quality light, and the LG ThinQ app shows readings and tracks filter wear on your phone. It’s rated at 26 dB in sleep mode and 48 dB on high, and draws 25 W. At 25 × 36 × 25 cm and 2.8 kg, it’s happy on a shelf, a table or the floor. LG says one filter lasts about a year at 10 hours a day.

The filter is limited to LG-only, so you are locked in to the replacement filter from LG. There is currently no independent test done on this air purifier, every number here comes from LG.

PRISM+ Aura — Best Singapore Brand

PRISM+ Aura

Specifications

  • CADR: Not published by PRISM+
  • Room size: 182 sq ft (about 17 m²) at 2 air changes an hour (PRISM+)
  • Noise: 30 dB on the lowest speed (PRISM+)
  • Filter: 3 stages (pre-filter, H13 HEPA, activated carbon); up to 12 months at about 8 hours a day; replacement S$48
  • Sensor: Infrared air-quality sensor
  • Smart features: PRISM+ Connect app (2.4 GHz Wi-Fi)
  • Power: 23 W, 100–240 V
  • Size and weight: 22.5 × 22.5 × 45.9 cm, 2.35 kg
  • Warranty: 1 year
  • Price: S$159 (PRISM+ store)

Pros

  • Singapore brand with app control and an air-quality sensor
  • Affordable: S$159 for a smart H13 purifier
  • Low filter cost: one S$48 filter lasts up to 12 months at 8 hours a day
  • Light and compact: 2.35 kg

Cons

  • No CADR published, and its 17 m² rating assumes only 2 air changes an hour
  • Louder lowest speed than the other small picks: 30 dB
  • Only a 1-year warranty
  • App needs 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and stock status was unclear when we checked

PRISM+ is the Singapore brand better known for its TVs and monitors, and the PRISM+ Aura is its compact smart purifier. Inside is a 3-stage filter: pre-filter, H13 HEPA (rated at an average of 99.954% of 0.3 µm particles) and activated carbon. PRISM+ rates it for 182 sq ft (about 17 m²), but read the fine print: that’s at only 2 air changes an hour. It doesn’t publish a CADR, so we can’t size it the way we size the others.

On the plus side, it’s very affordable. At S$159 on PRISM+’s store, you get an infrared air-quality sensor and the PRISM+ Connect app (2.4 GHz Wi-Fi). A replacement filter is S$48 and lasts up to 12 months at around 8 hours a day. It weighs 2.35 kg, measures 22.5 × 22.5 × 45.9 cm and draws 23 W.

We’d keep it to a small bedroom or study. Its lowest speed is rated at 30 dB, a touch louder than the Levoit and LG sleep modes (22–27 dB), and the warranty is only 1 year.

Levoit Core Mini — Best Budget Pick

Levoit Core Mini

Specifications

  • CADR: Not listed by Levoit Singapore; HouseFresh measured about 41 CFM (~70 m³/h)
  • Room size: Up to 15 m² (Levoit); about 6 m² at ~5 air changes an hour (our estimate from HouseFresh’s figure)
  • Noise: 27–44 dB (Levoit); HouseFresh measured 37–44.5 dB at 3 feet
  • Filter: 3 stages (pre-filter, a filter listed as H13 True HEPA in Singapore, activated carbon); about 4–6 months (HouseFresh)
  • Controls: 3 speeds, filter check indicator, aroma pad
  • Power: 7 W rated; 2.8–6.4 W measured (HouseFresh)
  • Size and weight: 16.4 × 16.4 × 26.4 cm, 1 kg
  • Warranty: 2 years (limited)
  • Price: S$69–S$85, depending on seller

Pros

  • Low price: from S$69
  • Tiny and light: 1 kg, fits on a desk or bedside table
  • Very low power: 7 W rated, under 7 W measured
  • 2-year warranty, plus an aroma pad

Cons

  • Very small output: about 70 m³/h measured, or about 6 m² at 5 air changes an hour
  • Filter every 4–6 months (HouseFresh), with no Singapore filter price listed
  • No app or air-quality sensor
  • Thin stock: sold-out pre-order at levoit.sg and out of stock at Challenger when we checked

Think of the Levoit Core Mini as a personal purifier rather than a room purifier. It’s the smallest unit here at about 1 kg, and it costs S$69. Levoit says it suits rooms up to 15 m², but doesn’t list a CADR in Singapore. HouseFresh measured about 41 CFM (roughly 70 m³/h) at top speed, which by our maths is enough for about 6 m².

For the money, it covers the basics. There are 3 fan speeds, a filter check indicator and an aroma pad for a few drops of essential oil. Levoit rates it at 27–44 dB and 7 W, and HouseFresh measured 37–44.5 dB at 3 feet and 2.8–6.4 W. It comes with a 2-year warranty, and Levoit says it’s ozone free.

Just don’t ask it to clean a whole bedroom. Put it on your desk or bedside table, close to where you breathe. HouseFresh puts filter life at 4–6 months, which is on the shorter duration compared to other air purifier filters.

Which Air Purifier Should You Actually Buy?

  • Need one purifier for the living room, or for haze across a big open space? Get the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro.
  • Buying for a bedroom up to about 20 m², and can control via an app? Get the Levoit Core 300S.
  • Want a small, smart purifier for a bedroom or study? Get the LG PuriCare AeroMini.

  • Just need cleaner air at your desk or bedside? Get the Levoit Core Mini.

Our Verdict

If you’re buying one purifier for a Singapore home, start with the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro. It moves the most air here, and it’s the only pick big enough for a living room. Add the Levoit Core 300S for the bedroom: right-sized, rated at 22 dB in sleep mode, with a 2-year warranty. The LG PuriCare AeroMini is the smarter small option if you want something that is sleek and discreet. The PRISM+ Aura is the budget smart pick from a local brand and the Levoit Core Mini is a S$69 desk companion, not a room purifier.

FAQ

Should I run my air purifier during the haze?

Yes. Run it in the room you spend the most time in, close the windows and doors, and leave it on until the haze clears. NEA’s PSI and one-hour PM2.5 readings will tell you how bad it is outside.

What size air purifier do I need?

Measure your room (length × width in metres) and multiply by 12. That’s the CADR in m³/h to aim for: about 145 m³/h for a 12 m² room, 240 m³/h for 20 m² and 360 m³/h for 30 m². This assumes a 2.5 m ceiling and about 5 air changes an hour. Going bigger lets you run it on a lower, quieter speed.

Do air purifiers make ozone?

Most don’t make meaningful amounts. In 2023, the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) tested seven air purifier samples and found all of them within the recommended ozone limit. Purifiers with a built-in ionizer can make small amounts. Of our five picks, only the Xiaomi 4 Pro lists one in its specs, and you can switch it off in the app. Levoit says the Core Mini is ozone free.

How often should I change the filter?

Follow the maker’s schedule: every 6–8 months for the Levoit Core 300S, 6–12 months for the Xiaomi, up to 12 months for the PRISM+ Aura (at 8 hours a day) and about a year for the LG AeroMini (at 10 hours a day). Levoit Singapore gives no schedule for the Core Mini; HouseFresh puts it at 4–6 months. Change it sooner if the indicator lights up or the airflow drops.

How much does an air purifier cost to run?

SP Group’s tariff for October to December 2026 is 31.16 cents/kWh including GST, so a 40 W purifier on full speed all day costs about S$9 a month. Most of the time it runs slower and uses far less. Filters are the bigger cost over time.

Can one air purifier clean my whole flat?

Not really. Purifiers work best in one closed room, because air from other rooms mixes in slowly. Put yours where you spend the most time, like the bedroom at night, and add a second unit if you need it.
